V-Mart Retail has opened a new store located at Rajiv Nagar, Patna in state of Bihar. The store is spread in an area of 5,550 square feet. This is the 15th store in the state of Bihar across 14 cities. With this, the company has increased the tally of the state to 5 Mini Hyper Stores and 10 Family Fashion stores.
Further, the company has closed three stores namely Junagarh (8425 sq ft, Gujarat), Bharuch (3289 sq ft, Gujarat) and Pitam Pura (14076 sq ft, Delhi). It has also reduced the store areas of Moga (reduced by 3323 sq ft, Punjab), Law Garden (reduced by 4500 sq ft, Gujarat) and Berasia (reduced by 3200 sq ft, Bhopal). This takes the total number of stores to 88 in 76 cities across 12 states with a total area of 7.10 lakhs square feet.
V-Mart Retail is one of the pioneers in setting up stores across various small Indian towns and cities including Sultanpur, Ujjain, Motihari. The company primarily operates in Tier-II and Tier-III cities, with a chain of ‘value retail’ departmental stores offering apparels, general merchandise and kirana, catering to the entire family. Based in New Delhi, the company operations are spread across northern, western and eastern parts of India.
