VA Tech Wabag leads the gainers on the Capital Goods index

Capital goods stock are rejoicing the announcement of excise duty cut in the budget. Finance Minister has reduced excise duty from 12% to 10% for capital goods and consumer durables in its interim budget.

VA Tech Wabag is currently trading at Rs. 617.60, up by 18.30 points or 3.05% from its previous closing of Rs. 599.30 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 582.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 623.50 and Rs. 582.00 respectively. So far 4317 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 638.00 on 12-Feb-2014 and a 52 week low of Rs. 380.65 on 30-Jul-2013.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 638.00 and Rs. 545.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 1643.39 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 30.31%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 50.88 % and 18.81 % respectively.

The other gainers of the Capital Goods index on the BSE were, Thermax up by 2.11%, Jindal Saw up by 0.71% and Bharat Electricals up by 0.67%.
