Capital Goods stocks gains after FM reduces excise duty for sector to 10%

Finance Minister P. Chidambaram in the Interim Budget 2014-15, announced Excise duty cut from 12% to 10% in capital goods sector to stimulate growth.

Larsen & Toubro (L&T) is currently trading at Rs. 999.50, up by 6.45 points or 0.65 % from its previous closing of Rs. 993.05 on the BSE. The scrip opened at Rs. 996.20 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 1004.70 and Rs. 992.00 respectively. So far 57274 shares were traded on the counter.

Siemens is currently trading at Rs. 530.20, up by 0.30 points or 0.06 % from its previous closing of Rs. 529.90 on the BSE. The scrip opened at Rs. 534.95 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 536.35 and Rs. 530.00 respectively. So far 5196 shares were traded on the counter.

Thermax is currently trading at Rs. 636.00, up by 13.15 points or 2.11 % from its previous closing of Rs. 622.85 on the BSE.The scrip opened at Rs. 630.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 642.25 and Rs. 630.00 respectively. So far 3424 shares were traded on the counter.
