Physical rubber prices improve on Monday

Physical rubber prices improved on Monday on expectations of firmness in trend after the Kerala Cabinet meeting scheduled for Wednesday takes a decision regarding the implementation of the rubber procurement.

Spot prices for RSS-4 variety improved to Rs 156/ kg compared to its previous closing of Rs 152/ kg, while RSS-5 variety closed at Rs 153/ kg compared to its previous close of Rs 149/ kg.

In the futures market, contract of March delivery improved to Rs 157.80 compared to its previous closing of Rs 154.16, while April delivery closed at Rs 162.30 compared to its previous close of Rs 158.08 on the National Multi Commodity Exchange (NMCE).
