Physical rubber prices declined on Monday on buyer resistance in the market. Further, absence of follow-up buying at higher levels too added pressure on rubber prices.
Spot prices for RSS-4 variety declined to Rs 145/ kg compared to its previous closing of Rs 147/ kg, while RSS-5 variety closed at Rs 143/ kg compared to its previous close of Rs 145/ kg.
In the futures market, contract of March delivery declined to Rs 145.75 compared to its previous closing of Rs 147.08, while April delivery closed at Rs 150.25 compared to its previous close of Rs 152.07 on the National Multi Commodity Exchange (NMCE).
