Decentralisation needed to tackle corruption: Rahul Gandhi

Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi said that power needs to be decentralised to tackle corruption and added that more power is to be given to the councils, local bodies and people, which would be better for the people in the state.

Gandhi highlighted that in the coming time they would consult people and after that distribute the party tickets for the elections because there is too much of centralisation of power among a few people, the decentralisation of power in the hands of the people is very much required and he added all the developments are based on the idea of giving power to people. They would make sure that people are not only safe but also have certain rights.

The rally took place in Assam days after Bharatiya Janata Party’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi addressed the people of there.
