JSW Steel’s crude steel production jumps 55% during January 2014

JSW Steel’s crude steel production in January, 2014 increased by 55% and stood at 11.09 lakh tonnes against 7.16 lakh tonnes in January, 2013. The production of rolled products (flat) increased by 42% to 8.35 lakh tonnes compared to 5.89 lakh tonnes in January last year. Further, the production of rolled products (long) during the month rose by 15% at 1.68 lakh tonnes as compared to 1.46 lakh tonnes in January, 2013.

JSW Steel is part of the JSW group which, in turn, is a part of the O P Jindal group. JSW Steel is one of the largest steel manufacturing companies in India having units in Karnataka and Maharashtra producing crude steel, long steel and flat steel products.
