Physical rubber prices declined on Thursday as there were no genuine buyers in the market and declines in the domestic futures on the National Multi Commodity Exchange. Besides, the procurement process has so far had no visible impact in the local market, too influenced the rubber prices.
Spot prices for RSS-4 variety declined to Rs 147/ kg compared to its previous closing of Rs 148/ kg, while RSS-5 variety closed at Rs 145/ kg compared to its previous close of Rs 146/ kg.
In the futures market, contract of March delivery declined to Rs 144.60 compared to its previous closing of Rs 146.87, while April delivery closed at Rs 149.10 compared to its previous close of Rs 151.49 on the National Multi Commodity Exchange (NMCE).
