Excel Crop Care has received an approval to export 1,188 KL of existing stock of endosulfan formulation lying with the company. This export is subject to fulfillment of the conditions stipulated in the said order by the Supreme Court.
Subject to fulfillment of and compliance with specific conditions, the Supreme Court of India, by an order passed on December 13, 2011, has allowed export of 2,698.056 KL of existing stock of endosulfan formulation lying with the Industry.
Earlier, Excel Crop Care had received Supreme Court’s an ad-interim order on May 13, 2011 in the matter of a Public Interest Litigation against the company. As per the order, the production, sale and use of Endosulfan, an important product for the company, had been banned for a temporary period of eight weeks, pending receipt of an interim report from the expert committee constituted by the Government of India.
