RIL surges as its telecom arm inks tower-sharing agreement with Viom Networks

RIL is currently trading at Rs. 900.65, up by 14.55 points or 1.64% from its previous closing of Rs. 886.10 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 890.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 903.30 and Rs. 888.80 respectively. So far 104063 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 927.90 on 19-Jul-2013 and a 52 week low of Rs. 765.00 on 28-Aug-2013.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 902.40 and Rs. 863.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 290741.89 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 45.31% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 29.71% and 21.47% respectively. Reliance Industries’ (RIL) telecom arm - Reliance Jio Infocomm (RJIL), has inked a telecom tower-sharing agreement with independent telecom tower firm Viom Networks. The company has entered into a master services agreement with Viom Networks to use the latter’s more than 42,000 telecom towers in the country.

Viom Networks is a joint venture between Tata Teleservices and SREI Infrastructure. It is India’s largest independent telecommunications infrastructure company.

RJIL, which holds 1800 MHz spectrum across 14 Circles and 2300 MHz across 22 circles, plans to launch services by October or December this year.
