JSW Steel gains as its crude steel production jumps 43% during February 2014

JSW Steel is currently trading at Rs. 968.10, up by 20.85 points or 2.20 % from its previous closing of Rs. 947.25 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 950.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 969.70 and Rs. 943.00 respectively. So far 41925 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 1046.75 on 07-Jan-2014 and a 52 week low of Rs. 451.50 on 19-Aug-2013.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 965.00 and Rs. 915.25 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 23164.22 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 37.31 % while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 23.49 % and 39.19 % respectively.

JSW Steel’s crude steel production in February 2014 increased by 43% and stood at 9.63 lakh tonnes as compared to 6.75 lakh tonnes in February 2013. The production of rolled products (flat) increased by 55% to 7.99 lakh tonnes compared to 5.14 lakh tonnes in February last year. Further, the production of rolled products (long) during the month rose by 16% at 1.53 lakh tonnes as compared to 1.32 lakh tonnes in February 2013.
