State-owned Hindustan Petroleum Corporation (HPCL) has opened premium 'Club HP Star' outlets in Mumbai. 'Club HP Star' is a premium version of Club HP, which is the flagship brand of HPCL's retail outlets. After Mumbai, the company has scheduled to open Club HP Star outlets in Bangalore, Hyderabad, Delhi, Noida, Ahmedabad, Chennai and Vizag in the next four days in the first phase which will be scaled up pan-India in the year 2014-15.
All the 'Club HP Star' retail outlets shall be fully automated where electronic billing through automated systems along with the assurance of 'Good Fuel Promise' are guaranteed.
HPCL operates two major refineries producing a wide variety of petroleum fuels and specialties, one in Mumbai (west coast) of 6.5 million metric tonnes per annum (MMTPA) capacity and the other in Vishakapatnam, (east coast) with a capacity of 7.5 MMTPA.
