Tata Steel, India’s biggest steel producer has bagged the first prize in Integrated Steel Sector for National Energy Conservation Awards - 2011. The award function was organized on December 14, 2011 at Vigyan Bhavan in New Delhi by ministry of power, Government of India (Bureau of Energy Efficiency).
The function was inaugurated by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and the prizes were distributed by Union Power Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde. The award has been given for the better performance on energy conservation for the year 2010-11.
