About Western Industries Ltd

Western Industries Ltd. was incorporated on May 31, 1995 as a limited company under the Companies Act, 1956 vide certificate of incorporation No 01-20532 issued by the Registrar of  Companies, Andhra Pradesh.  The company obtained the certificate for commencement of business on July 17, 1995.

In 1995, the company acquired all the assets and liabilities of the proprietary business of OSCAR FEEDS, which was  owned by Mr C Balasubramanyam.The  Board of Directors of WESTERN  INDUSTRIES LIMITED at the  Board Meeting held 2nd August, 1995 passed  the resolution to  takeover the business, assets and liabilities of  OSCAR FEEDS  as a going concern with effect from 1st September, 1995.  Further, it was resolved to take note of the interest of  Mr C Balasubramanyam, Managing Director of WIL, in the takeover of the  business of OSCAR FEEDS. OSCAR FEEDS was engaged in the trading of poultry feed supplements and pre-mixes. WIL also plans to expand the operations to extend to the preparation of the poultry formulations and has acquired land in Gundlapochampally  mandal for this purpose.

Western Industries, Inc. is a leading full service manufacturer of premium, private label finished products and metal and large plastic components.  It serve the appliance, outdoor living, recreational goods, and selected industrial markets.  In many cases, Western serves as the 'complete factory' for it's customers, making Western a strategic, value added partner. 

Western Industries was suspended from the BSE on Sep 22, 2005.
