Incorporated in 1989, Shiv-Vani  Oil & Gas Exploration Services,commenced its operations in 1990, providing shot-hole drilling services to ONGC - the largest and most prominent state-owned oil and gas exploration and production company in India. Over the next 10 years, the company has gained a position of strength and acquired a large number of shot-hole drilling and workover rigs.

Today, Shiv-Vani owns the largest fleet of onshore rigs in India and has successfully diversified into other crucial activity areas such as seismic surveying, gas compression services and offshore drilling & logistics.

Shiv-Vani has rapidly evolved to emerge as a key player in the upstream sector of the hydrocarbon industry. Headquartered in New Delhi, the company offers a wide spectrum of services in the field of oil and natural gas exploration and production. From shot hole drilling and seismic surveying through to directional drilling, well development, downhole operations, engineering and logistics - it specialise in every area of onshore and offshore operations, as well as in natural gas compression & allied services. The company is the only integrated CBM services provider in India and has successfully pioneered horizontal and directional drilling in the country to enhance CBM procurement. Its professional expertise, combined with exclusive know-how and advanced equipment, has enabled its  clients to accomplish their objectives on time and within budget.

Besides its strong presence in India and extensive working relationships with key corporations like ONGC and Oil India, Shiv-Vani is pre-qualified to work for more than 25 oil and gas exploration and production companies at home and abroad. The company is pre-qualified for drilling and workover service contracts in such countries as Oman, Syria, Iraq, Sudan, Qatar and Indonesia and seismic services in several countries like Iran. We are also targeting the western markets such as the USA and the CIS.The company is listed with the Bombay Stock Exchange and the National Stock Exchange of India, and has recently floated foreign currency convertible bonds (FCCBs) listed on the Singapore Stock Exchange. The company has strategic tie-ups and alliances with conglomerates in Russia, USA, China, Malaysia, UAE, Canada and Germany, and the extensive business build-up in the Middle East.

In 2012 Shiv Vani wins an offshore drilling contract from GUPCO and completes acquisition of offshore jack up rig.

Seismic Data Acquisition, Processing and Interpretation- conducts high quality 2D and 3D land seismic surveys for the systematic discovery and development of hydrocarbon deposits. Powered by most modern equipment and latest data gathering techniques, our team of experienced geophysicists, surveyors and engineers gather 2D and 3D seismic data which will not only help assess the chances of finding new oil reservoirs but can also determine whether older fields still contain oil and gas.The company is also involved in, Drilling, Workover, Reservoir Data Acquisition and Pipeline Construction.

Specialised Services

Cementing- In collaboration with its global partners, Shiv-Vani offers a wide range of innovative cementing solutions to support well development and minimise environmental impact.

Stimulation- Shiv-Vani, along with its global partners, employs the latest tools and techniques to provide a full range of solutions and services for stimulation.

Other Specilised  services of the company includes Logging, Well Testing, Directional Drilling and Mud Engineering

Coal Bed Methane -To meet the rapidly growing energy demands, industry leaders now focus on the exploration, extraction and commercial utilisation of coal bed methane. Shiv-Vani, in collaboration with its global business partners, has ventured into this new area of the energy sector and offers a full range of consultation services for CBM prospecting and production.

Gas Compression & Allied Services

  • Natural Gas Compression-- Shiv-Vani has successfully catered to the natural gas industry and set up a large number of gas compressors at various collecting stations to ensure smooth transportation and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Gas Collecting/Group Gathering Stations-- Shiv-Vani has the unsurpassed expertise and unique capability to provide turnkey solutions for setting up large-scale, state-of-the-art gas collecting/group gathering stations.
  • CNG Booster Compressor-- Shiv-Vani has installed a number of booster compressors to ensure uninterrupted and cost-effective CNG distribution. Booster compressors are ideally suited for 'daughter' stations and connect mobile cascades to dispensing systems in order to maintain a high pressure for fast filling operations.

Company’s offshore business-- Shiv-Vani, a leading name in the upstream services segment, owns and operates a fleet of four state-of-the-art offshore vessels (MV Satyam, MV Shivam, MV Sundaram and MV Sachinam) and provides transportation services to the oil & gas industry.

Platforms & Structures-- Shiv-Vani, a premium E&P service provider, has entered a strategic tie-up and currently utilises the partner's yard and fabrication facilities for engineering and maintenance of offshore platforms and structures.

Drilling-- Shiv-Vani has recently expanded its core skills and diversified into the offshore drilling segment. The company is all set to start its new venture and currently is in the process of acquiring two jack-up rigs.
