About Lemon Tree Hotels Ltd

Lemon Tree Hotels (LTH) is one of the largest hotel chains in India, and owns/leases/operates/franchises hotels across the upscale, upper-midscale, midscale and economy segments. The company delivers differentiated yet superior service offerings, with a compelling value proposition. It offers seven brands to meet guests’ needs across all levels, viz. Aurika Hotels & Resorts, Lemon Tree Premier, Lemon Tree Hotels, Red Fox Hotels by Lemon Tree Hotels, Keys Prima by Lemon Tree Hotels, Keys Select by Lemon Tree Hotels and Keys Lite by Lemon Tree Hotels.

The company opened its first hotel with 49 rooms in May 2004. Currently, the company has a portfolio of over hundreds of hotels, which includes operational hotels and hotels set to open in India and internationally. The company is located across metro regions, including the NCR, Mumbai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Chennai, as well as numerous tier I, II and III cities such as Pune, Ahmedabad, Chandigarh, Jaipur, Indore, Aurangabad, Udaipur, Vishakhapatnam, Kochi, Ludhiana, Thiruvananthapuram, Vijayawada etc. The company expanded internationally with hotels opening in Dubai in December 2019 and in Bhutan in February 2020. 

The company was incorporated as “P.M.G Hotels Private Limited” on June 2, 1992, as a private limited company under the Companies Act 1956, at New Delhi, with a certificate of incorporation granted by the RoC. Pursuant to a resolution of its shareholders dated December 13, 2002, the name of the company was changed to “Krizm Hotels Private Limited” and a fresh certificate of incorporation dated January 7, 2003 was issued by the RoC. Further, pursuant to a resolution of its shareholders dated June 2, 2010, the name of the company was changed to “Lemon Tree Hotels Private Limited” and a fresh certificate of incorporation consequent to change in name was issued by the RoC on June 10, 2010. On the conversion of the company to a public limited company pursuant to a resolution passed by its shareholders on September 29, 2012, its name was changed to “Lemon Tree Hotels Limited” and a fresh certificate of incorporation dated October 22, 2012 was issued by the RoC.
