L&T rises on securing contract from Abu Dhabi Gas Industries

The scrip is currently trading at Rs 983.25, up by 4.15 points or 0.42% from its previous closing of Rs 979.10 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs 1000.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs 1005.00 and Rs 971.00 respectively. So far 542215 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs 2003.50 on 31-Dec-2010 and a 52 week low of Rs 971.00 on 21-Dec-2011.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs 1155.85 and Rs. 971.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs 59905.71 crore.

The Institutions and Non-Institutions held 52.18% and 43.58% stake in the company, respectively. 

Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has secured a contract valued at 695 million dirhams from Abu Dhabi Gas Industries. The contract is for engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning of the Habshan-Ruwais-Shuweihat gas pipeline.

Recently, L&T’s construction division bagged new order valued at Rs 1,000 crore across various business segments in the third quarter of FY2012. In the building and factories segment, the company secured Rs 200 crore order from the GMR group for the construction of an Air Traffic Control Tower and associated works at Delhi International Airport in New Delhi.
