MOIL, has received at least eight proposals for acquiring a small-size mine overseas. The largest domestic manganese producer has received proposals from South Africa, Gabon and Indonesia, among other geographies. MOIL has more than Rs 2,000-crore cash surplus, which could be used for buying out the asset.
