Akin to Berger Paints, decorative paint prices have been hiked by 1% by Asian Paints this month, as per a media report. Back in April, the company unveiled its plans to increase industrial paints’ prices by 4% in May. The move came in to offset inflationary pressure on industrial products.
Meanwhile, Berger Paints hiked decorative paint prices to cover raw material cost increase after international prices of monomer, used in emulsions for water based paints, increased due to supplier plan shutdown.
Asian Paints is India’s largest paint company and Asia’s third largest paint company. The company along with its subsidiaries has operations in 20 countries across the world and 28 paint manufacturing facilities, servicing consumers in 65 countries through Berger International, SCIB Paints-Egypt, Asian Paints, Apco Coatings and Taubmans.
