Financial Technologies (India) redeems FCCBs

Financial Technologies (India) has repaid the entire outstanding amount of foreign currency convertible bonds (FCCBs) and premium thereon by making payment of $133.16 million on the due date i.e. December 21, 2011. Earlier in December 2006, the company had raised $100 million and in accordance with the terms of FCCBs, it has redeemed the entire amount and premium.

Financial Technologies (India) is a flagship company of the Financial Technologies Group. It provides technology solutions and domain expertise for digital transactions and financial markets across all asset class including equity, commodities, currency and debt.

The company’s net profit for the quarter ended September 30, 2011 has declined 18.22% at Rs 69.23 crore as compared to Rs 84.65 crore for the corresponding quarter of the previous year. The company’s total income has decreased by 11.69% at Rs 128.63 crore for the second quarter of the current fiscal from Rs 145.65 crore for the corresponding quarter of the previous year.
