SJVN synchronizes three units of Rampur Hydro Electric Project

SJVN has successfully synchronized three units -- Unit 1, 2 & 5 -- of 412 MW Rampur Hydro Electric Project. Moreover, commercial operations at these units has also commenced from May 13, 2014.

Recently, the company commenced power generation from its 412 MW Rampur Hydro Electric Project located on river Satluj in Himachal Pradesh with the synchronization of its first 68.67 MW unit with the northern grid.

SJVN is a joint venture between the Central government and Himachal Pradesh state government. The company owns and operates India’s largest 1500 MW Nathpa Jhakri Hydro Power Station in Himachal Pradesh.
