Tata Power strengthens as arm commissions 62 sites in Gujarat

Tata Power Company is currently trading at Rs 108.20, up by 1.30 points or 1.22% from its previous closing of Rs 106.90 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs 107.20 and has touched a high and low of Rs 108.80 and Rs. 107.20 respectively. So far 70007 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs 115.25 on 09-Jun-2014 and a 52 week low of Rs. 65.86 on 06-Aug-2013.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs 115.25 and Rs 105.10 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs 28912.44 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 33.04% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 48.22% and 18.57% respectively.

Tata Power’s 100% subsidiary - Tata Power Solar (TPS), has successfully commissioned 62 sites in Gujarat which includes a 1.2 MW plant for Gujarat Energy Development Agency (GEDA), a 750 kW plant for Surat Municipal Corporation (SMC) and 1.1 MW of projects across various smaller industries.

The 1.2 MW solar power project at GEDA was executed at 34 different sites and is expected to generate 1.8 million units of energy. The 750 kW project for SMC which spreads over 14 sites was commissioned in three months with 100% compliance of local regulatory norms.

Tata Power Solar, India’s largest specialised EPC player, operates 200 MW of solar module manufacturing in Bangalore and has designed and built more than 160 MW of ground-mounted and 40 MW of rooftop projects till date.
