Andhra Bank has informed that government of India, ministry of finance, department of financial services, new Delhi, vide gazette notification dated December 28, 2011, in exercise of the powers conferred by clause (a) of sub-section (3) of section 9 of the banking companies (acquisition and transfer of undertakings) act, 1970/1980, read with sub-clause (1) of clause 3, sub-clause (1) of clause 8 of the nationalized banks (management and miscellaneous provisions) scheme, 1970/1980, after consultation with the Reserve Bank of India, has appointed K. K. Misra, general manager, Canara Bank, as a whole-time director (designated as the executive director) of Andhra Bank, from the date of taking over charge of the post and till the date of his superannuation, that is up to April 30, 2014 or until further orders, whichever is earlier. K. K. Misra has taken charge as executive director of the bank on December 28, 2011.
