Bajaj Auto reports 3% rise in June sales

Bajaj Auto, the second-largest motorcycle manufacturer has registered a 3% rise in total sales to 3,05,465 units in June 2014 against 1,20,399 units in June 2013. The sales of the motorcycles increased by 3% and stood at 2,62,202 units in the month under review against 2,54,544 units in June 2013. The company has reported 5% rise in Commercial Vehicles sales which stood at 43,263 units as compared to 41,205 units in month of June 2013.

Meanwhile, the company’s total exports out of the above stood at 1,35,074 units, an increase of 12% as compared to 1,20,399 units sold in the corresponding month last year.

Bajaj Auto is a $2.3 billion company founded in 1926. It is world’s fourth largest two and three-wheeler manufacturer. Bajaj Auto has three plants in all, two at Waluj and Chakan in Maharashtra and one plant at Pant Nagar in Uttaranchal.
