Tata Power, India’s largest integrated power company, has organized a sensitization and awareness camp in Dharavi focused at consumers with consumption less than 300 units. The objective of this initiative was to create awareness amongst low end residential consumers on their eligibility to avail power supply from the company.
Besides, a branded kiosk was set up to enlighten residents and sales kits including application forms and tariff benefits for low end consumers. Close to 80 residents of the slum attended the camp, where they were sensitized to the process of switching over to Tata Power. The simple and easy process includes submission of a filled in application form along with the latest BEST electricity bill and ID proof, as well as a nominal payment of Rs 50 as processing fees.
