SpiceJet flies in green on the bourses

Spicejet is currently trading at Rs. 17.60, up by 0.15 points or 0.86% from its previous closing of Rs. 17.45 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 17.70 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 17.90 and Rs. 17.20 respectively. So far 1811084 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 30.35 on 15-Jul-2013 and a 52 week low of Rs. 12.50 on 04-Mar-2014.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 20.80 and Rs. 17.30 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 936.74 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 53.48%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 1.60 % and 44.92 % respectively.

SpiceJet, which was launching several low-cost in past few days, is now focusing on increasing its domestic territory. On this path, the company has decided to launch a flight service from Kolkata to Kathmandu, connecting West Bengal's tourist hotspot Bagdogra, from August 2014. The airline has offered an introductory promotional fare of Rs 99, excluding taxes for Bagdogra-Kathmandu segment of the journey, for the new flight which is scheduled to commence operations from August 13, 2014.

SpiceJet is India’s most preferred airline who delivers the lowest air fares with the highest consumer value. The airline currently operates more than 350 daily flights to over 44 Indian cities and 9 international destinations.
