Jet Airways is all set to launch a flight to Ho Chi Minh city in Vietnam in November. This will be the airline’s 22nd international destination. In 2011, the company had signed a MOU with Vietnam Airlines to co-operate in commercial, technical, and training areas. At present, there is no direct air link between India and Vietnam.
The airline will extend its Delhi-Bangkok service to Ho Chi Minh and passengers from Mumbai will be connected on to the flight via Bangkok. Moreover, the company is also planning to add capacity on Mumbai-Colombo flight (2nd flight) and Mumbai-Bangkok (3rd flight) from November.
Jet Airways currently operates a fleet of 112 aircraft, which include 10 Boeing 777-300 ER aircraft, 8 Airbus A330-200 aircraft, 4 Airbus A330-300 aircraft, 72 next generations Boeing 737-700/800/900/900 ER aircraft and 15 ATR 72-500 and 3 ATR72-600.
