Reliance Power’s Sasan UMPP achieves boiler light up for fifth 660 MW unit

Reliance Power’s Sasan Ultra Mega Power Project (UMPP) has achieved boiler light up for fifth 660 MW unit, at the 3,960 MW Sasan Ultra Mega Power Plant. This is a critical milestone of the boiler commissioning activities for the unit. The total capacity of Sasan UMPP as of now is 3,300 MW.

The first four 660 MW units of the project are already operating well, 5th unit boiler lighted up and the last unit is in advanced stages of construction.

The Sasan Ultra Mega Power Project is the largest integrated power plant and coal mining project in the world. Coal production has already commenced from the 20 million tonnes Moher and Moher-Amlohri coal mines associated with the power project.

Reliance Power is a part of the Reliance Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group and is established to develop, construct and operate power projects domestically and internationally.
