Geojit BNP Paribas soars on reporting 43% rise in Q1 consolidated net profit

Geojit BNP Paribas Financial Services is currently trading at Rs. 41.50, up by 1.30 points or 3.23% from its previous closing of Rs. 40.20 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 42.20 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 42.20 and Rs. 41.00 respectively. So far 117026 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'T' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 44.80 on 10-Jun-2014 and a 52 week low of Rs. 15.65 on 14-Nov-2013.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 42.20 and Rs. 36.10 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 957.97 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 63.94% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 2.23% and 33.83% respectively.

Geojit BNP Paribas Financial Services has reported over three fold jump in its net profit at Rs 20.10 crore for the quarter as compared to Rs 5.89 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income from operations of the company has increased by 83.79% at Rs 73.24 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 39.85 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2013.

On the consolidated basis, the company has reported 42.81% rise in its net profit at Rs 23.55 crore for the quarter as compared to Rs 16.49 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income from operations of the company has increased by 50.13% at Rs 80.92 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 53.90 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2013.
