HDFC Bank’s arm launches 'E-Will' Writing Service

HDFC Securities, a subsidiary of HDFC Bank, has launched ‘E-Will' Writing Service. This is a first-of-its-kind service in India and enables individuals to easily draw up a tenable Will online with help from a legal firm. The company has collaborated with a partner Legal Jini to offer this service.

A person can prepare a Will in an easy and hassle-free manner by registering on the Web site. However, this service would be extended to non-HDFC Bank customers later as preparation of Will is a critical part of financial planning in the financial life cycle of every individual.

The bank’s net profit for the quarter rose by 21.11% at Rs 2233.04 crore as compared to Rs 1843.86 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2013. Its total income has increased by 12.79% to Rs 13070.65 crore for the quarter under review from Rs 11588.56 crore for the corresponding quarter of the previous year.
