BGR Energy Systems bags contract worth Rs 303 crore

BGR Energy Systems, a leading EPC and BoP company in the power industry, has signed contracts worth Rs 303 crore in various sectors including power, water, Oil & Gas. The company, in order to mitigate the sluggishness in the thermal power sector, is in pursuit of opportunities in other sectors in India and International market.

BGR Energy received the LOI for two Natural Draught Cooling Towers from BHEL for their 2x660 MW Suratgarh Project in Rajasthan. The company had recently completed construction of world’s tallest cooling towers for RRVUNL’s project at Kalisindh, Jhalawar, Rajasthan.

BGR Energy has received a contract for supply of 400 KV Air Insulated Switchgear Substation (AISSS) and an export order worth $6.7 million in Oil & Gas Sector. BGR Energy was awarded a contract worth Rs 34.72 crore for construction of Water Treatment Plant on EPC basis. The company carries an order book of Rs 11,667 crore.

BGR Energy Systems is engaged in supplying of systems and equipment and contracting turnkey engineering project. The company started as a joint venture between GEA Energietechnik GmbH, Germany and the promoter B G Raghupathy in order to produce and sell on-line condenser tube cleaning systems, debris filters and rubber cleaning balls used in thermal and nuclear power plants.
