Tamil Nadu Newsprint to invest Rs 70 crore for expansion

Tamil Nadu Newsprint and Papers is planning to invest over Rs 70 crore to expand its cement plant and establish a common infrastructure facility to provide space for notebook and text convertors and box manufacturers.

Moreover, the company will establish a value added products manufacturing facility at a cost of Rs 40 crore in Karur District. This facility will provide space for about 15 convertors. The 15 units will generate over 500 jobs.

Tamil Nadu Newsprint and Papers was established with an intention to manufacture newsprint and printing and writing paper by using bagasse as a raw material. The company manufactures products such as ultra white maplitho, elegant maplitho, hi-tech maplitho, creamwove, copy crown and copier.
