Jaypee Infratech tumbles on reporting 43% fall in Q1 net profit

Jaypee Infratech is currently trading at Rs. 32.10, down by 1.25 points or 3.75% from its previous closing of Rs. 33.35 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 33.05 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 33.85 and Rs. 31.65 respectively. So far 487471 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 42.00 on 26-May-2014 and a 52 week low of Rs. 14.45 on 28-Aug-2013.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 38.65 and Rs. 31.65 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 4583.48 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 71.64% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 15.97% and 12.39% respectively.

Jaypee Infratech’s net profit for the quarter declined by 43.26% at Rs 45.96 crore as compared to Rs 81.01 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2013. The company’s total income has decreased by 8.65% to Rs 709.39 crore for the quarter under review from Rs 776.58 crore for the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

Jaypee Infratech incorporated as a Special Purpose Vehicle for implementation of 165 km long 6-lane Access-Controlled Yamuna Expressway in the state of Uttar Pradesh connecting Noida and Agra.
