CESC has reported results for first quarter ended June 30, 2014.
The company’s net profit from ordinary activities after tax for the quarter surged 15.27% at Rs 151 crore as compared to Rs 131 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2013. Its total income has increased by 29.07% to Rs 1878 crore for the quarter under review from Rs 1455 crore for the corresponding quarter of the previous year.
CESC is engaged in power generation and distribution in state of West Bengal. CESC is a fully integrated power utility with its operation spanning the entire value chain: right from mining coal, generating power, distribution of power.
