Gujarat State Petronet tumbles on reporting 33% fall in Q1 net profit

Gujarat State Petronet is currently trading at Rs. 83.00, down by 2.40 points or 2.81% from its previous closing of Rs. 85.40 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 82.80 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 83.70 and Rs. 80.00 respectively. So far 161944 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 103.50 on 01-Jul-2014 and a 52 week low of Rs. 48.10 on 29-Aug-2013.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 90.20 and Rs. 80.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 4614.47 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 37.73 % while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 40.37 % and 21.90 % respectively.

Gujarat State Petronet’s net profit has declined by 32.69% at Rs 84.99 crore as compared to Rs 126.27 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2013. Its total income has decreased by 21.29% to Rs 243.92 crore for the quarter under review from Rs 309.91 crore for the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

GSPL is continuously expanding its pipeline network currently in Gujarat to reach the demand centres by laying gas pipeline network.
