Pratibha Industries, the flagship company of the Pratibha Group has bagged orders worth Rs 772 crore in building and water management divisions. With these orders, the balance order book of the company stands at Rs 6,568 crore as on December 30, 2011, while total orders bagged in the current financial year to date by the company is worth Rs 3,350 crore.
The building division of the company has bagged a contract of Rs 153 crore from Rustomjee Realty for the civil and structural work of residential buildings located at Andheri (W) in Mumbai. The project to be completed within 26 months, which envisages construction of total built up area of approximately 14 lakh square feet. This well landscaped ultra-modern residential complex, having various facilities and amenities, will be a new landmark in Andheri.
The other project bagged is from Tata Housing Development Company valued at Rs 136 crore excluding the cost of cement, steel and shuttering for its prestigious project 'Tata Amantra'. This involves construction of 23 buildings at Kalyan near Mumbai, with a total built up area of approximately 30 lakh square feet. The project is scheduled for completion within 27 months.
In the water segment, the company has bagged two cash contracts. The first one is worth Rs 403 crore from Gujarat Water Infrastructure. This contract envisages laying of 63 km of large-diameter cross-country pipelines to supply water from Dhanki to Chuli under the Swarnim Gujarat Kutch Water Grid programme with intake arrangement, pumping machinery and other electro-mechanical equipment, accessories, instrumentation control etc. It is scheduled to be completed in 12 months with an operation and maintenance period of 5 years.
The company is also expanding its international operations with bagging its second international order and first in Bangladesh from the Dhaka Water Supply and Sewerage Authority worth Rs 80 crore. The company, in consortium with Jain Irrigation System and Navana Construction has bagged this contract involving rehabilitation of distribution networks to be completed in 350 days.
Pratibha Industries is engaged in the business of integrated infrastructure solutions and manufacture of SAW pipes. As the company moves ahead, it has laid increased emphasis on devising its business strategy on aggressive top line growth, a de-risked business model and increased operational efficiencies.
