State Bank of India opens ATM at Ganga Sagar mela

State Bank of India (SBI), country’s largest public sector lender has opened a temporary ATM at the Ganga Sagar mela ground. This ATM will be helpful for the large number of pilgrims visiting mela on the occasion of Makar Sankranti. The ATM facility will be available till January 16, 2012.

Recently, SBI has accomplished 100% Financial Inclusion Programme (FIP) in Andhra Pradesh. The bank has covered all its allotted unbanked villages that are 1,369 villages out of 6,661 unbanked villages with a population above 2,000 in Andhra Pradesh under the FIP by the RBI.
