State Bank of Travancore (SBT), an associate of State Bank of India, has opened an exclusive branch for processing direct benefit transfers at Thycaud in Thiruvananthapuram. This new branch will facilitate faster transfer of social benefits to the accounts of the beneficiaries of direct benefits.
Earlier, the bank has launched a scheme named ‘SBT Contractor Plus’ to provide hassle-free loans to contractors of various work relating to public infrastructure. Under this scheme, the bank provides guarantee fee for loans up to Rs 50 lakh.
