Tata Power plans to increase generation capacity to 18,000 MW

Tata Power, India’s largest integrated power utility, is planning to increase the generation capacity to 18,000 MW, distribution networks by 4,000 MW, energy resources by 25 million tonnes per annum and 10-X growth in value added businesses by 2022.

To achieve the set target, the Company has various projects under execution and development stage. Currently, the company has a gross installed capacity of 8,613 MW through thermal, green energy and waste gas sources of which 1,202 MW is derived from clean energy sources.

Tata Power is India’s largest integrated power company with a significant international presence. The Company has an installed generation capacity of 8521 MW in India and a presence in all the segments of the power sector viz. Generation (thermal, hydro, solar and wind), Transmission, Distribution and Trading.
