Asian Paints’ BIL to set up paint manufacturing facility at Indonesia

Asian Paints’ Berger International (BIL), Singapore, has on August 22, 2014 filed an application for investment approval with the Regulatory authorities at Jakarta, Indonesia for setting up a paint manufacturing facility as part of a greenfield foray into Indonesia. This greenfield venture is subject to necessary statutory and other approvals.

Berger International (BIL), Singapore, a subsidiary of Asian Paints (International) (APIL), Mauritius, is a wholly owned subsidiary of the company.

Asian Paints is India’s largest paint company and Asia’s third largest paint company. The company along with its subsidiaries has operations in 20 countries across the world and 28 paint manufacturing facilities, servicing consumers in 65 countries through Berger International, SCIB Paints-Egypt, Asian Paints, Apco Coatings and Taubmans.
