Technofab Engineering has suspended construction work of a new oil jetty in Monrovia, Liberia (West Africa) for the Ministry of Public Works, Liberia, following the medical emergency declared due to outbreak of Ebola virus there. The project is funded by the World Bank.
The Ministry’s French consultant had declared force majeure and moved out of the project site. The consultant had also said no construction activity requiring certification and approval can be carried out by Technofab Engineering till the situation returns to normalcy and the firm (consultant) is able to be physically present at the project site.
The work of larger groups such as Arcelor, Sterlite and others had also been impacted there.
