BEML Ltd under the Ministry of Defence proposes to expand its market in Asia to become a global brand. Accordingly, the company has created warehousing facilities in Malaysia, set up an office in China for outsourcing and launched a local company, PT BEML Indonesia, in Indonesia to capture the emerging market.
Earlier, BEML Brasil Industrial Ltd was set up to promote sales of mining and construction equipment in Latin American countries with phased local manufacturing programme.
BEML, having a wide product range covering mining and construction equipment, defence equipment, railway equipment and various other products such as hydraulic aggregates, disaster management machinery being rolled out of its three manufacturing units in Mysore, Bangalore and Palakkad (Kerala), is participating in the International Mining & Machinery Exhibition 2010, the release added.
