Apollo Hospitals, leading private sector healthcare provider will open two hospitals by this year end. One hospital will come up at Thiruchirapalli and the second one will be a public, private partnership (PPP) project. The place has not been decided yet for the second one.
The total number of hospitals will be 56 after including these two, with bed-strength of over 9,000. The 200-bed super specialty hospital at Hyderguda will provide a hyper tension programme, a first-of-its-kind in the country, along with green light laser therapy.
The entity is likely to come up with a mega health park at Chittoor in Andhra Pradesh. As part of it, a skill training institute would come up in partnership with the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC). The institute will train 4,000-5,000 manpower per year. The park will also offer research infrastructure and have a manufacturing facility for beds, intensive care devices, wheel chair, etc. The group is in discussions with various device manufacturing companies to set up base there.
