Bajaj Auto rises on unveiling KTM RC series of super sports motorcycles in Pune

Bajaj Auto is currently trading at Rs. 2329.00, up by 3.80 points or 0.16% from its previous closing of Rs. 2325.20 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 2340.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 2340.00 and Rs. 2317.80 respectively. So far 3085 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 2380.00 on 08-Sep-2014 and a 52 week low of Rs. 1796.00 on 04-Feb-2014.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 2380.00 and Rs. 2207.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 67457.24 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 50.02% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 25.67% and 24.29% respectively.

Bajaj Auto has unveiled KTM RC series of super sports motorcycles RSC 390 and RC 200 in Pune. The RC 200 will cost Rs 1.60 lakh, while the RC 390 is priced at Rs 2.05 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The current prices were introductory and the company may increase the prices later. Both the models are being manufactured at Bajaj Auto’s Chakan Plant.

Chakan plant is producing 45,000 KTM bikes across KTM’s six models per year and expects to ramp-up the production to 65,000 units by end of FY15. The company may increase the capacity up to 100,000 units in the next four years.

Bajaj Auto is a $2.3 billion company founded in 1926. It is world’s fourth largest two and three-wheeler manufacturer. Bajaj Auto has three plants in all, two at Waluj and Chakan in Maharashtra and one plant at Pant Nagar in Uttaranchal.
