Sutlej Textiles and Industries has received an approval to expand the operations of one of the company’s units - Damanganga Home Textiles based at Daheli, Bhilad, Gujarat at a cost of Rs 88.50 crore. The project will be implemented in FY 2015-16 and the capacity will increase to 9.6 million metres per annum. The board of directors at their meeting held on September 17, 2014 has approved for the same.
The board also decided to close the operations of one of the company’s units at Damanganga Fabrics, based at Daheli, Bhilad, Gujarat in view of its un-economic working. The company is complying with the necessary requirements of law in relation to the closure of this unit.
Sutlej Textiles and Industries has 260,872 spindles for spinning yarn, six million metres a year for apparel fabrics, 1.6 million trousers a year and 3 million metres a year for home textiles fabric. It has plants in Jammu and Kashmir, Rajasthan and Gujarat.
