JSW Energy surges as its JV gets approval to increase mining capacity to 7 MTPA

JSW Energy is currently trading at Rs. 75.00, up by 0.85 points or 1.15% from its previous closing of Rs. 74.15 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 76.50 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 76.80 and Rs. 74.75 respectively. So far 85347 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A ' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 86.85 on 02-Jul-2014 and a 52 week low of Rs. 42.00 on 04-Feb-2014.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 78.40 and Rs. 73.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 12382.41 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 75.00% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 11.46% and 13.54% respectively.

JSW Energy’s joint venture (JV) - BLMCL has received Environmental Clearance from Ministry of Environment, Forests & Climate Change (MoEFCC) to increase the mining capacity of its Kapurdi Lignite Mines from 3.75 MTPA to 7 MTPA for 4 years.

Barmer Lignite Mining Company (BLMCL) is a JV between Raj WestPower (RWPL), a wholly owned subsidiary of the company and Rajasthan State Mines and Minerals (RSMML).

JSW Energy is the holding company for the JSW group’s power business having operational capacity of 2,600 Mega-Watts consolidated.
