Tata Motors' group global sales grew 36 per cent in July at 90,646 units. Passenger vehicles accounted for 50,070 units (up 42 per cent) and commercial vehicles took up the balance 40,576 units (30 per cent).
During the month, domestic sales of passenger and commercial vehicles coupled with exports totalled 67,799 units while Jaguar Land Rover contributed 19,386 units, a 30 per cent growth over the previous year. Tata Daewoo and the Hispano range of commercial vehicles made up the balance.
Of the JLR sales kitty, Land Rover clocked 13,710 units and Jaguar 5,676 units. Cumulative sales of the two brands thus far this fiscal are 76,539 units, a 50 per cent growth. On a month-on-month basis, July sales were down by 960 from June levels. This included JLR which fell by 800 units.
