Bajaj Auto reports 9% rise in September sales

Bajaj Auto, the second-largest motorcycle manufacturer, has registered 9% rise in total sales to 3,99,450 units in September 2014 against 3,67,815 units in September 2013. The sales of the motorcycles increased by 7% and stood at 3,47,010 units in the month under review against 3,23,879 units in September 2013. The company has reported 19% rise in Commercial Vehicles sales which stood at 52,440 units as compared to 49,936 units in month of September 2013.

Meanwhile, the company’s total exports out of the above stood at 1,74,211 units, an increase of 19% as compared to 1,46,847 units sold in the corresponding month last year.

Bajaj Auto is a $2.3 billion company founded in 1926. It is world’s fourth largest two and three-wheeler manufacturer. Bajaj Auto has three plants in all, two at Waluj and Chakan in Maharashtra and one plant at Pant Nagar in Uttaranchal.
