Vijaya Bank participates in Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana

Vijaya Bank, the Karnataka-based bank, has participated in Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana (PMJDY), by opening 5.64 lakh basic savings bank deposit accounts.  The Bank has opened these accounts through all its 1,533 branches. Under this scheme, the Bank offers each account holder a RuPay Debit Card with an accidental cover of Rs 1 lakh and literature on banking facilities at the time of opening an account.

Vijaya Bank, the Karnataka-based bank offers various products and services specific to various segments such as it has saving accounts for children, scheme for women clientele, credit facilities to minority communities like Zoroastrians, Buddhists are among others.
