Foreign institutional investors reduce stake in ACC

Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) have reduced shareholding in ACC to 18.65% at the end of September 2014 quarter from 19.73% as on Jun 30, 2014. On the other hand, domestic institutional investors (DIIs) have increased shareholding in the company to 13.82% at the end of September 2014 quarter from 12.81% as on Jun 30, 2014.

ACC is India’s foremost manufacturer of cement and ready mixed concrete with a countrywide network of factories and sales offices. The company’s net profit for second quarter ended June 30, 2014 has declined 6.97% at Rs 241.02 crore as compared to Rs 259.09 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2013. However, its total income has increased by 7.47% to Rs 3096.61 crore for the quarter under review from Rs 2881.15 crore for the corresponding quarter of the previous year.
